PEDRO AVILA GENDIS
PAINTER AND SCULPTOR
Mr. Pedro Avila Gendis (Camaguey, Cuba, 1959) is a painter and sculptor especialized in abstract contemporary art.
From 1971 to 1975 he studied visual arts at the “Ignacio Agramonte” Center for the Arts in his hometown. During his prolific artistic life Mr. Avila Gendis has been a regular attendee of national and international creative courses and workshops.
Specialized press and critics consider him one of Latin America’s most important artists within the contemporary abstract movement.
His works has been auctioned in several countries.
Mr. Avila Gendis has donated many works (murals, paintings and sculptures) to a whole host of nonprofit institutions and foundations.

As a painter and sculptor, Mr. Avila Gendis has participated in more than 200 individual or collective expos in different cities throughout the world as well as art fairs and visual arts shows.
